Help!! bought a samsung sgh-i600 w/o contract. Cannot use the phone with HK SIM card. Why?

i used phone in singapore with my singtel prepaid card - ok


in hk, i get the csl network/ 3G but cannot call out or receive calls, or phone freezes.


i have tried without success:


a) change the operator settings - present choice: singtel, starhub, m1


b) called samsung support from hk


c) change a new csl international sim card


d) checked with the shop i bought the phone - refer me to samsung support


e) find help from forums on the net - no luck





Q: does singtel preset some settings on the phone they sell? if so, what number to call for assistance?
