That is an assumption which is often not true. The Republicans really hung the Union worker out to dry, and sent manufacturing jobs overseas with NAFTA.


And I'm sure truckers are ticked off about the price of gas!


Republicans always use social issues (gays, minorities, etc.) to try to detract from what they have really done to the working man.
Reply:Truckers are in DC to get something done not just for themselves but the rest of the country. Notice any difference in your grocery bill lately? If you own it a truck hauled it. It's not a right wing/left wing conservative/liberal republican/democrat thing it's called truckers can't get choked any farther, trucking companies are closing daily, due to the high cost of transportation small business are closing daily including manufacturing jobs, shifts have been cut back at large plants across the country, there is a direct relation all to the price of diesel fuel. If it takes 1000 trucks blowing air horns in DC to get peoples attention then so be it. This is only the beginning, trucking strikes and protests have been going on for a couple of months now and more are scheduled.
Reply:Most small government types just think the government should not help other people at their expense, not that the government should not have policies that benefit them.





Note to other answerer: Truck drivers that work for other people do not care about the price of gas because they do not pay the bill. Small business owners are overwhelmingly Republican.

Reply:I think Truckers cannot be lumped into one party or another, I'm sure they have people involved in many parties.
