Teemu and duck bashing with Ross McKeon as your tour operator?

Apparently Ross McKeon has decided to go on a duck-bashing terror. He rips on Teemu and the ducks.

They WILL lose in the first round if they even make the playoffs is his take.

Did he forget:

A. that they are the hottest team in hockey

B. They have the fourth best record in hockey despite a slow start

C. That they are banged up and they have been to some degree all year.

D. They just added Teemu

E. They have 5-6 million in cap space for the deadline

F. They are the defending champs

G. They hold their own against the elite teams including Detroit.

H. All of the above

C'mon buddy, you can get mad and think its a littl underhanded to have players come back late in the season like this, but they are within the rules and it happened. But for you to make these jackass comments as you have done other occasions too . . . c'mon.

what do you think

Teemu and duck bashing with Ross McKeon as your tour operator?
WOW, I have always thought McKeon to be pathetic but this reaches new lows..........right now, he is IMO no better or worse than Kara Yorio.
Reply:Im a Wings fan i have to agree with ya...the Ducks are a team that scares me...tons of talent, speed, and grit....And a scary veteran core of players....I think the trend of older players sitting out half the season is a lil shady but i wouldve loved to see Teemu in a Wings jersey...people just get upset when it dont benefit their team!

FYI the Red Wings have won 2 out of 3 times this season against the Ducks. I am a Wings fan, and I have to admit its tough when we play Anaheim. Yes, Neidermayer and Selanne coming back just for the second half and the playoffs is shady, but there is no doubt they will bring it come playoff time.
Reply:I counter that at the moment they are not the 'hottest team' in the league.

They are a good team.

Betteman saying he would be concerned if this kind of thing were to become a habit ........(my interpretation)........well, he should be concerned because the precident has been set. Any other club that wants to bring someone back mid season, now has the right to do so. I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing for the league.
Reply:Well considering they've lost 3 games in a row, I wouldn't call them the hottest team... however, they look to be even better (on paper) than they were last year.

Getzlaf and Perry have officially arrived, Niedermayer and Selanne will hit the playoffs in midseason form, and they've added Schnieder to what was already the best defensive corps in hockey. They're also deeper this year with guys like Carter, Miller, and Bobby Ryan (#2 overall pick behind Sidney Crosby). The only place they've stepped back in is in net, as Hiller is no Bryzgalov... but come the playoffs it will only be Giguere anyway.

I'm looking for Burke to add to the mix at the deadline this year (unlike last year) as the Championship window for the Ducks is fast closing. They have Edmonton's 1st pick to deal, the cap space to take on almost anyone, and ownership that's willing to pay to win (Kunitz and that #1 for Hossa or Sundin).

The Ducks have lost 2 of their last 14 playoff series, have 2 Western Conference titles and a Stanley Cup, and are the single most dominant playoff team over the last 4 seasons. They play in your face hockey, but back it with talent up front, at the blueline, and in goal.

BOTTOM LINE: Love them or hate them, they are going to be the team that nobody will want to play in the playoffs.
Reply:There's no doubt that they will be an incredibly difficult team to beat in the playoffs.
