Can someone help me with this word equation please?

A contractor purchases a piece of equipment for $36,500

that costs an average of $9.25 per hour for fuel and

maintenance. The equipment operator is paid $13.50 per hour, and customers are charges $30 per hour.

A) write an equation for the cost C of operating this equipment for t hours.

(I wrote c(t)= 9.25x+36,500

c(t)=30.00x+13.50) I think it's wrong though.

B) write an equation for the revenue R derived from T hours.

C)Find the break-even point for this equipment by finding the time at which R=C.

Can someone help me with this word equation please?
c(t) = (9.25 + 13.50)t + 36,500

R(t) = 30t
Reply:A) c=36,500+ t(22.75)

B) R= t(30)

C) 36,500+22.75t=30t

36,500=7.25t

t=5034.48
Reply:a) cost = cost of running it + cost of buying

c(t) = 9.25 t + 13.50 t= 22.75t + 36,500

b) Revenue is a business term for the amount of money that a company receives from its activities in a given period, mostly from sales of products and/or services to customers. It is not to be confused with the terms "profits" or "net income" which generally mean total revenue minus total expenses in a given period.

r(t) = 30t

C) 30t = 22.75t + 36,500

7.25t = 36,500

t=5034.48 hours
Reply:A) C(t) = (9.25 + 13.5)t [You don't want to add in 36,500 because you want the cost of OPERATING, not operating plus the cost of the machine]

B) R(t) = 30t

C) 0 = (9.25 + 13.5)t + 36,500 - 30t

-36,500 = 22.75t - 30t

-36,500 / -7.25 = -7.25t / -7.25

t= 5,034.482 Hours
Reply:The cost per hour would not include the purchase price. The cost per hour would include the operating costs (fuel, maintenace, and labor).

A) C(t) = 9.25t + 13.50t = 22.75t

Revenue is the difference between the price you charge and the costs you have.

B) R(t) = 30.00t - 22.75t = 7.25t

The break even point is when the revenue equals the purchase price.

C) 36500.00 = 7.25t

or t = 36500/7.25 = 5034.4827586207 hours
