Joined as ‘Jr.Technician’ during the time of erection and commissioning of the company and rose to the level of Engineer (Inst.Workshop) before I opted for VRS offered by the company.


I was involved in the commissioning of Boilers (BHEL make),Ammonia and Urea Plant and later on maintaining the installed pneumatic instrumentation, which over the time has been upgraded with Microprocessor based smart series instruments.





Job consisted of Maintaining


· The above instrumentation


· Programming the Smart Series Transmitters using HART protocol


· Analyzers (SO2,Oxygen,CO,Smoke Density, Silica etc.)


· All types of level, pressure, flow measuring instruments.


· Field Instruments such as Control Valves Power Cylinders,Field Controllers,Limit switches and all primary measurement Instruments.





Planning preventive and routine maintenance schedules.


Maintenance the spares and regular consumables required for the plant and indenting the required spares. Preparing the specifications of the material required, comparative statements and inspecting the purchased material against purchase order specifications.





Maintaining the documents as per ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 standards and safety requirements and working accordingly.Training and developing interpersonal skills of the staff working under for better efficiency and better performance of the man and machine. Giving lectures on the Instrumentation techniques to the technician staff.
